Our Terms & Conditions can be found here.This Privacy Policy describes LinkTrust’s use and sharing of personally identifiable information (“PII”—which may include Your full name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, or credit card number, etc.) that You voluntarily provide to LinkTrust when You register (also known as “Registration PII”), visit this website or subscribe to LinkTrust services and products, including any other features, content, or applications offered from time to time by LinkTrust in connection with LinkTrust’s business. LinkTrust is hosted in the United States.

THIS SITE IS A GENERAL AUDIENCE SITE AND DOES NOT KNOWINGLY COLLECT PII FROM CHILDREN UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE.

From time to time LinkTrust may modify this Privacy Policy to reflect industry initiatives or changes in the law, our PII collection and use practices, the features of our services and products, or technology, and such modifications shall be effective upon posting by LinkTrust on this site. Your continued use of this site after LinkTrust posts a revised Privacy Policy signifies Your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. It is therefore important that You review this Privacy Policy regularly to ensure You are updated as to any changes. If LinkTrust materially changes its practices regarding collection or use of Your PII, Your PII will continue to be governed by the Policy under which it was collected unless You have been provided notice of, and have not objected to, the change.

Collection and Submission of PII and Non-PII

General

When LinkTrust collects PII from You it is because You are voluntarily submitting Registration PII to LinkTrust in order to use LinkTrust’s services and products. LinkTrust may also collect PII from You when using LinkTrust services or products, or that is generated in the course of the use of those services or products (including the timing, frequency, and pattern of service use), when You choose to subscribe to LinkTrust’s email notifications and/or newsletters, when You provide LinkTrust with content or suggestions You submit to LinkTrust for review or publication to the internet, and any information contained in or relating to any communication that You send to LinkTrust or send through LinkTrust’s website.

In addition, LinkTrust collects other non-PII including IP address, geographical location, aggregate user data, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and website navigation paths from You. This data is used to manage and improve LinkTrust’s site, track usage, to verify compliance with the terms and conditions governing use of the LinkTrust website, and for security purposes. LinkTrust may also share statistical information about users, but those third-parties will not be able to identify any individual user from this information.

You can change Your Registration PII at any time and can control how LinkTrust and others communicate with You by controlling Your account settings.  Before You disclose to LinkTrust any PII of another person, You must obtain that person’s consent to both the disclosure and the processing of that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Cookies

Cookies are small bits of information that LinkTrust places on Your computer.  LinkTrust uses cookies to identify Your Internet browser, store Your preferences, and determine whether You have installed the enabling software needed to access certain material on LinkTrust’s website. Data in cookies may be read to authenticate user sessions or provide services.  Cookies may be either “persistent cookies” or “session cookies.”  A persistent cookie will be stored by a web browser and will remain valid until its set expiration date or deleted by You.  A session cookie will expire at the end of the user session when the web browser is closed.  Cookies do not typically contain any information the personally identifies a user, but PII that LinkTrust stores about You may be linked to information stored in and obtained by cookies.  Cookies may be used by web servers to identify and track users as they navigate different pages on a website and identify users returning to a website.

LinkTrust may from time to time use third-party cookies in the course of providing services and product.  In addition, third-party advertisements displayed on LinkTrust’s website may also contain cookies set by internet advertising companies or advertisers (known as “third-party cookies”). LinkTrust does not control these third-party cookies and You should check the privacy policy of the internet advertising company or advertiser to see whether and how it uses cookies.

You can program Your computer to warn You each time a cookie is being sent, block third-party cookies, or block all cookies. However, by blocking all cookies You may not have access to certain features on LinkTrust’s website.   You can delete cookies already stored on your computer, but deleting cookies will have a negative impact on the usability of many websites, including LinkTrust’s website.

Third-Party Sites

LinkTrust services and products may be linked to internet sites operated by other companies. LinkTrust may also carry advertisements from other companies. LinkTrust is not responsible for the privacy practices of websites or other services operated by third parties that are linked to or integrated with LinkTrust’s website or for the privacy practices of third-party internet advertising companies. Once You leave LinkTrust’s website via such a link, access a third-party application (such as widgets) or click on an advertisement, You should examine the applicable privacy policy of the third-party or advertiser site to determine, among other things, how they will handle any PII they collect from You.

International Data Transfers

Information that LinkTrust collects may be stored and processed in and transferred between any of the countries in which LinkTrust operates in order to enable it to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  In the course of providing its services and product, information that LinkTrust collects may be transferred to businesses in the following countries that do not have data protection laws equivalent to those in force in the European Economic Area:  United States of America; Russia; Japan; China; and India.  PII that You publish or submit for publication on LinkTrust’s website may be available, via the internet, around the world.  LinkTrust cannot prevent the use or misuse of such PII by others.  By using the LinkTrust website, You expressly agree to the transfers of PII described herein.

LinkTrust’s Use of PII

General Use of PII

LinkTrust will only use the PII You provide under this Privacy Policy in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. If LinkTrust obtains PII from a third-party, such as a business partner, our use of that information is also governed by this Privacy Policy.

LinkTrust may use your PII in order to provide the services and product purchased through the LinkTrust website or to enable Your use of the services and products.  In addition, LinkTrust may use your PII to send non-marketing commercial communications, statements, invoices, and payment reminders to You, and to collect payments from You.

If You have consented, LinkTrust may also provide you with email notifications, push notifications (or similar technologies), newsletters, or certain marketing communications related to LinkTrust’s business (or the businesses of carefully selected third-parties that LinkTrust believes may be of interest to you.  You can inform LinkTrust at any time if you no longer wish to receive such communications.

Disclosing PII

LinkTrust may disclose Your PII to LinkTrust employees, agents, insurers, professional advisers, suppliers, and contractors insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy.  LinkTrust may share Your PII with those who help it manage or provide LinkTrust’s information activities (for example, message board administration, order fulfillment, statistical analyses, data processing), or with outside contractors or agents who help LinkTrust with the administration of LinkTrust’s website and business, including but not limited to payment service providers who process LinkTrust’s website financial transactions.

There may be instances when LinkTrust may access or disclose PII without providing You a choice in order to: (i) protect or defend the legal rights or property of LinkTrust, its affiliates, or their employees, agents and contractors (including enforcement of our agreements); (ii) protect the safety and security of LinkTrust, its users, or members of the public—including acting in urgent circumstances; (iii) protect against fraud or for risk management purposes; (iv) comply with the law or legal process; or (v) to a purchaser or prospective purchaser of any business asset LinkTrust sells row contemplates selling. In addition, if LinkTrust sells all or part of its business or makes a sale or transfer of all or a material part of its assets or is otherwise involved in a merger or transfer of all or a material part of its business, LinkTrust may transfer Your PII to the party or parties involved in the transaction as part of that transaction.

Retaining PII

PII that LinkTrust processes for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is reasonably necessary for those purposes.  Without prejudice to the foregoing sentence, LinkTrust will endeavor to delete PII within three (3) months of any written request You submit requesting that LinkTrust do so, so long as such request does not affect LinkTrust’s ability to provide You with any service or product.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, LinkTrust will retain documents (including electronic documents containing PII in order to: (i) protect or defend the legal rights or property of LinkTrust, its affiliates, or their employees, agents and contractors (including enforcement of our agreements); (ii) protect against fraud or for risk management purposes; or (iii) comply with the law or legal process to the extent required by law.

Security of PII

LinkTrust uses commercially reasonable administrative, technical, personnel and physical measures to safeguard PII and credit card information in its possession against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification. In addition, LinkTrust uses reasonable methods to make sure that PII is accurate, up-to-date and appropriately complete.  LinkTrust will store all PII provided by You on a secure (password and firewall protected) server.  Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, You acknowledge that the transmission of information over the internet is inherently insecure and LinkTrust cannot and does not guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.  You are responsible for safeguarding Your password allowing access to the LinkTrust website.  Except when prompted to enter Your password on the login screen, LINKTRUST WILL NEVER ASK YOUR FOR YOUR PASSWORD.

How to Access, Correct, or Change Your Preferences Regarding PII

You may review Your Registration PII LinkTrust maintains in its records. LinkTrust will take reasonable steps to correct any PII You inform it is incorrect.  If You ask LinkTrust to stop using Your PII, LinkTrust will honor that request while retaining any record of Your PII that is necessary to comply with applicable law.
